Welfare Society

The IBS Welfare society works under the leadership of Dr. Humera Manzoor who is an Assistant Professor at Institute of Business Studies. This society aims to inspire students to work for the welfare of the community and to become socially responsible citizens. The entire faculty and students take keen interest in working on various projects that includes helping underprivileged students with their dues, distribution of food and clothing to the needy, creating a sustainable green environment, cleanliness drives and so forth.

We also work in collaboration with other social organizations to reach to a wider community. The success stories of our society have inspired other departments in the university to create their own welfare societies. We also work collaboratively in sharing ideas and resources to reach a wider community and to those individuals who are usually forgotten and ignored in our society.

Some of our successful projects were distributing warm clothing and blankets to the displaced persons who were affected due to war and conflict in the previous FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas). Our society served 80 families in this regard. We have also distributed books and clothing to the IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons) camp, distribution of gifts to the orphanage, plantation within and outside the university and so forth.
