deposit the paper rechecking fee in the Account Office of the KUST and write an application to the CoE within three weeks (the third week is for those who are not satisfied with the re-totaling for which the time limit is two weeks). The receipt of money paid has to be submitted in original along with the application. The Controller's office processes the case and forwards it to the concerned HoD. The paper shall be rechecked by the Instructor concerned first. If the instructor is not convinced of a change in grade, it shall be forwarded to a committee nominated by the HoD (excluding the instructor) and approved by the Dean for a decision.
All the cases for rechecking will be placed before the Committee for consideration after the decision of the concerned instructor. The Committee (excluding concerned instructor) will be proposed by the concerned HoD and approved by the respective Dean. The Committee will evaluate the cases in light of the approved semester policy
In case of the HoD being Instructor, the Dean shall appoint the committee. In all cases of rechecking, two papers of the students with the higher score and two papers of the students with lower scores will also be rechecked by the committee for the purpose of uniformity. The final decision of the committee will be communicated to the Controller of Examinations by the office of the concerned Dean. If there is an improvement in the grade, the new grade will be communicated and the amount paid shall be refunded to the student. If there is no improvement in the grade, the decision shall be communicated to the student and no refund shall be made.
