Application to Grievances Committee

In case the student is still not satisfied with grades and decision of the department committee, he/she may apply to the Central Grievances Committee through

the Director Academics within seven working days of the receipt of grade(s).

  1. The Grievance Committee, a 05 members committee comprising of one senior faculty member, relevant HoD headed by a Dean (to be nominated by the VC), Controller of Examinations, and Director Academics. This a standing committee constituted by the VC. In the absence of the Academic Deans, the VC may appoint a senior professor. The Director of Academic is the member/secretary of the committee.
  2. The committee, in this case, may seek the help of two faculty members from the relevant discipline.
  3. The HoD of the respective discipline is contacted to provide all the relevant record and the committee may re-evaluate performance of the applicant in light of the papers of at least four other students of the same class for uniformity purposes.
  4. The Committee may hear both sides i.e. student and instructor /committee and will give the final decision within five working days and the decision of the committee will be final.
