At the Department of Physics, our students are part of the family. Studying here, you will have access to our lab facilities and resources and, most importantly, our dedicated & well qualified staff/faculty. We offer a range of undergraduate (BS, MSc) and graduate (M.Phil. & PhD) programs. Current research activities in the department are focused into the following broad areas:

Microbiology department was established in September 2003 and since then has made significant advancements in almost every sphere of academics as well as research. At present the department consists of total fourteen faculty members and five non teaching staff.

Department of Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering was established a few years back in 2006. The potential of biotechnology has just begun to emerge in the late 20th century. After the full knowledge of human genomes, biotechnology has stepped up into a new era of drug discovery and delivery, diagnostic methodology, clinical trials, and to a great extent the major lifestyle of the human society.

The Department of Botany at Kohat University of Science & Technology was established in 2005. Iniitially the department was started in a very small building of only three rooms but during its first decade, the department has developed a large & productive research & teaching group in the field of Botany.

Women Digital Empowerment is a digital platform introduced as a dialogue and feedback mechanism whose aim is to engage women to discuss issues and government policies, plans, and initiatives addressing those issues. The platform is not only dynamic and interactive but also result oriented. Feedback on the platform may lead to formulation of informed policy recommendations to attract legislators’ attention towards women’s voices.
