Biological Sciences
The Faculty of Biological Sciences comprises of six departments, Biotechnology, Botany, Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, Pharmacy and Zoology. All of these departments except Pharmacy offer undergraduate and graduate programmes leading to BS, MSc, MS/MPhil, and PhD degrees. The Environmental Sciences and Pharmacy departments offer only BS and Pharm-D programme respectively.

The Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Program was started in Fall 2019 in the Department of Microbiology. Now it is a full-fledged department. At present the department consists of five faculty members and four non-teaching staff. Dr. Naqeeb Hussain Shah

Social Work (Gerontology)

 

Biography:

 Dr. Naqeeb Hussain Shah is an Assistant Professor of Social Work (Social Gerontology) at Kohat University of Science & Technology, Kohat. In 2007, he joined Kohat University and currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Social Work & Sociology at KUST, Kohat. The University of Peshawar awarded him a Ph.D. in Social Gerontology.

In the peer-reviewed literature, his academic work discusses Elderly Psycho-Social Problems, Gender Stereotyping, Special Education Impacts on Personality, Regulating the Islamic Seminaries, and Honor Killing in Pakistan. He has held positions in various national and international organizations, such as Manager, University Disaster Management Cell, Field Research Officer, Senior Motivation Officer, News Editor, and Field Investigator. He has considerable experience attending and organizing training courses, lectures, workshops, conferences, and events. Dr. Naqeeb is a member of various forums and committees, including the American Aging Society (ASA) the USA; Member International Academic Forum, Japan; the Board of Study, the Board of Faculty, and the Academic Council of many Universities.
