Tentative list of candidates interviewed for award of HEC Need Based Scholarship for the year 2021-22
HEC Need Based Scholarship:
Eligibility & Procedure for Apply: all the students who got admission in any department/Institute at KUST and are not availing any other scholarship from any organization can apply for the HEC Need Based scholarship. The continuation of the scholarship of already selected students is based on satisfactory academics performance. The application form for the said scholarship can be obtained from photocopier shops at kust and can also be downloaded from HEC website.
HEC-German Need Based Scholarships:
Eligibility & Procedure for Apply: all the students who got admission in any department/Institute at KUST and are not availing any other scholarship from any organization can apply for the HEC Need Based scholarship. Mora Scholarship:
Sponsored Agency: Local Govt. of each District.
Eligibility & Procedure for Apply: The student who enrolled in the respective department/Institute at KUST will be eligible to apply on the prescribed form subject to non-beneficiary of any other scholarship. The application for can be obtained from the photocopier shops at KUST or can be obtained from Local Zakat Committee of their respective districts
FATA Scholarship:
Eligibility & Procedure for Apply: The student who enrolled in the respective department/Institute at KUST and have the domicile of respective FATA,/FR will be eligible to apply on the prescribed form. The application form can be obtained from Photocopier shops at KUST and can be obtained from their respective Political Agent Office
Frontier Education Foundation (FEF) Scholarship:
Eligibility & Procedure for Apply: All the students enrolled in Kohat University of Science & Technology are eligible to apply except those whose parents are government employees, availing any other scholarship or have strong financial position. The application form can be obtained from the photocopier shops at KUST or can be downloaded from FEF official website.
Pakistan Bait Ul Mall:
Eligibility & Procedure for Apply: All the students enrolled in Kohat University of Science & Technology are eligible to apply except those whose parents are government employees, availing any other scholarship or have strong financial position. The application form can be obtained from the photocopier shops at KUST or can be downloaded from Pakistan Bait ul Mall official website.
Merit Scholarships:
A regular student of KUST will be eligible for merit scholarship if he / she obtains 70% marks or SGPA of 3.00 and above in a batch / semester. 20% amongst the said qualifying students of class/ semester will get the merit scholarship subject to clearance of University fee / dues / fine etc. Further break-up of these 20% students for award of merit scholarship is as under:

Top 5% of the qualifying students (among the above 20%) will avail 100% waiver in tuition fee.

Next 5% of the qualifying students (among the above 20%) will avail 75% waiver in tuition fee.

Next 5% of the qualifying students (among the above 20%) will avail 50% waiver in tuition fee.

Remaining 5% of the qualifying students (among the above 20%) will avail 25% waiver in tuition fee.
Poverty-Cum-Merit Scholarship:
A student who secures at least 2.5 SGPA & whose parents’ total monthly income is not more than Rs.30,000/- may apply for the poverty-cum-merit scholarship. However, the student whose parents are dead and whose income is not more than Rs.40,000/-, may be considered for the award of this scholarship on humanitarian grounds (such as physical incapacity or consisting a large number of family members, etc)
Brother/Sister Concession:
When two or more brothers/sisters are enrolled at KUST or any institution under the management of Kohat University, the one in the highest class shall pay the full tuition fee prescribed and the others will pay half of the full tuition fee. If the brothers/sisters are in the same semester then decision will be made on the basis of academics performance of both students in their latest semester result announced.
