Vision:
The works directorate believes that a pleasing and alluring environment provide true home to academic activities, innovations, and progressive ideas. Besides providing delighting building facilities, the directorate of works has also focused on expanding the facilities at KUST to accommodate maximum number of students. The facilities include Academic blocks, administration block, hostels, cafe, Central library, auditorium, roads, and other general buildings for auxiliary services. Currently, the needs of university are in consonance with the facilities, but the directorate of works is still engaged in developing further facilities to meet the future demands of the campus.
Primarily, the landscaping requirements have been met by developing hill profile beneath the central academic block that has amplified the aesthetics of the campus resulting in attracting students and families to the KUST campus. Similarly, other needs of the university have also been kept in focus including mosque for performing prayers at KUST campus. Additionally, basic needs of the campus including independent feeder and natural gas facility have also been the part of core vision of Directorate of Works. The independent feeder has successfully been activated in 2017 whereas the natural gas connection will soon become a reality that will satisfy the university needs. The future plan includes general maintenance of present facilities, developing facilities for extracurricular activities, additional educational facilities, and developing platform for cutting edge technology so that the university can afford to compete with the modern world academia.

The Directorate of Works at KUST intends to build state of the art buildings and provide platform for education, research, academic sharing, and innovations.
