Department of Chemistry

The Chemistry Department was established in October, 2004; consist of 22 faculty members supported by 7 Para teaching staff. All the faculty members are engaged in teaching and research programs. The Department offers presently BS (Hons), MSc & M.Phil / Ph.D. programs. Apart from this the Department is also engaged in number of research projects in collaboration with reputed Institutions like International Centre for Chemical Sciences, HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi, I.C.C.S, Winnipeg University Canada, Tsukuba University Japan, and Liverpool University UK. The department is also actively involved in conducting seminars and symposia during which the participants and students are provided the opportunity to fully exploit the events. Eminent Scholars of the country are invited to grace the occasion by their presence and to deliver lectures for the benefit of students. Department is furnished by all the modern Research instruments/equipments i.e FTIR, UV, Atomic Absorption.

To develop the scientific culture and demonstrate professional skills in teaching/ research/ managerial positions in wide range of professions in national & international organizations.
