Academic calendar

An academic year at KUST is divided into two regular semesters (Fall & Spring) of fifteen/sixteen weeks each and an eight-week Summer semester, excluding the end of semester exam. At the end of each semester, a time-slot of one week is allocated to the final examinations. Normally, there is a one week break around the middle of the regular semesters. Public holidays of religious and national importance are taken care of. At the start of each academic year, the Director Academics issues a calendar of activities. Students are advised to arrange their travels and other activities according to the calendar to avoid any anxieties. The semester timings are usually as follows:

Fall: August/September - December

Spring: January - May

Summer: June - July
